TAAG Angola Airlines Inaugural Service to Guangzhou scheduled for 23 June
TAAG Angola Airlines has officially unveiled its new international route to Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, with commercial operations scheduled to commence on 23 June 2026. The announcement was made during an event in Luanda attended by Angolan and Chinese institutional representatives, strategic partners, corporate clients, and aviation stakeholders.
The new service will operate from Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Icolo e Bengo, initially with one weekly flight departing on Tuesdays. The route will primarily be served by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most advanced aircraft in TAAG's fleet. Ticket sales have also officially opened.
The Guangzhou route strengthens air connectivity between Africa and Asia, facilitating the movement of passengers, trade, and cargo between two markets with longstanding economic and institutional ties. For TAAG, the new operation represents a significant milestone in its international growth strategy.

TAAG Angola Airlines has officially opened ticket sales for its new Abidjan route, advancing the company’s expansion strategy across the African continent and reinforcing Angola’s positioning as a regional connectivity hub. The start of operations, with the first commercial passenger flight, is scheduled for April 6, 2026, linking Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (NBJ) to Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ) in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire and one of the main financial and logistics centers in West Africa.
