Importing goods

Importing goods


Find out which goods and luggage you can import to Angola, as well as the legal formalities you must comply with to take your pet on the flight with you.

Goods allowed for import

Passengers over the age of 18 may import the following goods:

  • 400 cigarettes or 500 grams of cigars or other tobacco products;
  • 250 milliliters of perfume, Eau de Toilette, or similar products;
  • 2 litres of wine and 1 litre of spirits;
  • Products for personal use, gifts, and/or souvenirs up to a total value of USD $500 or equivalent in a relevant currency.

Forbidden import good

The following items may not be imported to Angola:

  • Medication and foodstuffs that may be dangerous to health;
  • Drugs or similar substances;
  • Pornographic material;
  • Plants from contaminated areas;
  • Gaming machines;
  • Pure alcohol;
  • Animals or animal remains without sanitary and other certification.

Weapons and ammunitions

The import of weapons, ammunitions or any other military material is forbidden.

Animals

To take your dog or cat with you to Angola, you must present the following documents:

  • Import Certificate issued by Angola's veterinary authorities;
  • Rabies Vaccination Certificate issued by a licensed veterinary doctor four months before arriving in the country;

Know TAAG's conditions for transporting domestic animals.
