Flying with your pet?

The acceptance of pets in the Economy cabin is limited to 6 per flight, allowing only 1 per passenger.

The acceptance of pets in the cargo hold is limited to 4 per flight.

The passenger must complete the "Baggage Transport Declaration" form.

Each passenger may not carry more than one container.

Animal transportation condition

In all of the cases mentioned below, TAAG must always be informed of the intent to transport an animal when making a booking. Animals may only be transported in the Economy class and are subject to availability of space.

All living animals must travel as declared cargo by countries that do not allow entry of animals as registered baggage. If in doubt, contact the destination country's embassy.

TAAG does not transport passengers with "Emotional Support Animals".

Animals weighing under 8 kg

Small pets, dogs, and cats weighing less than 8 kg may be accepted in Economy Class if the animal does not exceed one of the following dimensions:

Limited to 6 per flight;
Weight 8 kg, including the container;
Container must be soft or semi-rigid;
Dimensions of 23 x 45 x 30 cm (height x length x width).

Animals weighing over 8 kg and/or ferocious

Large and wild unaccompanied animals are carried as cargo. Pets that exceed the above dimensions will also be transported as cargo.

Guide dogs

The guide dog accompanying a visually or hearing impaired passenger may travel free of charge in the cabin or cargo compartment of the aircraft. If accepted into the cabin, the dog must travel with a muzzle and may not occupy a seat.
