TAAG Joins Road Safety Campaign
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17 on “Partnerships”, TAAG has joined the Ministry of the Interior and the National Directorate of Road Traffic (DNVT), marking its presence at the launch event of the Global Road Safety Campaign titled “My Life, My Family”, held on September 11th in Luanda.
The campaign is national in scope and is being led by the National Council for Road Traffic and Regulation of the Ministry of the Interior of Angola. Its aim is to raise awareness among all road users about best driving and road safety practices and, through multiple channels and partners, address road accidents while promoting behavioural change and safer attitudes on the roads.
As “People and Communities” represents the first corporate pillar of the Company, this Road Safety Campaign strengthens TAAG’s Corporate and Social Responsibility agenda, reinforcing collaboration, partnerships, and sustainable practices.
The event highlighted the participation of His Excellency the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Homem, who took part in the programme, which included speeches, presentations, and a visit to the thematic fair.
Representing TAAG at the launch of the Global Road Safety Campaign were employees Isabel Monteiro (Corporate and Social Responsibility Department), Aureliana Costa (Safety Department), Elisa Ofélia Paxi (Corporate Communication and Press Department), Engrácia Chama (Marketing Department), and Várcia Sekungo (TAAG Volunteer).
A special note goes to the presence of employee Aureliana Costa, whose participation on behalf of the Safety Department highlights the symbolic integration of safety functions into collaborative and jointly coordinated actions within the scope of social responsibility.
