Discover David Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust, a natural sanctuary worldly acclaimed for its elephant and rhino rescue and rehabilitation program. Developed by David Sheldrick in the fifties, the program brings hope to these majestic animals, greatly threatened by poachers and local populations who have advanced into their natural habitat. The orphanage is inside Nairobi’s National Park and can be visited daily from 11am to noon. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch baby rhinos and elephants having lunch and taking bud-baths!
Luxury Eco-Lodges David Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust also offers several Eco-Lodges, giving visitors the chance to sleep comfortably and safely in the wilderness. Lodges are located in three camps: Ithumba Camp, Ithumba Hill Camp (Tsavo East National Park) and Umani Springs (Kibwezi Forest). Any funds generated from these properties go directly towards the management and conservation of these areas.
