The story of Frankfurt

The story of Frankfurt

With an amazing architecture, Frankfurt has a perfect blend between modern buildings that appear to touch the sky and old and historical buildings.

Start by the Alte Oper building, one of the most popular constructions, and go on to the Goethe Haus, house of the famous poet with the same name. This house has replicas of the original furniture, becoming a reproduction of the 18th century that you can’t miss. For the end of the day, the Römerberg Square is the perfect destination with its colourful and fun houses. Visit also the Historiches Museum, where you’ll be able to know the history of Frankfurt.

Fun day and night

Fun day and night

To feel the true atmosphere of Frankfurt, there’s one place that you absolutely have to visit: the beer houses. Here is where the locals come together and where the true fun begins. Passionate about their beer, the Frankfurt locals find in the beer houses the perfect place to meet each other.

Big hot-dogs that are sold in basically everywhere promise to be a great snack, but, if you prefer a full meal, you have to try the Frankfurter Wurstchen. A typical food of Frankfurt with a smoked pork sausage, served with a potato salad and Ebbelwoi. For drink? An original apple wine!

Open air shopping

Open air shopping

In a city so modern like Frankfurt, the huge amount of stores is nothing to be amazed by. Start by the Zeil Avenue, an area full of trees and exclusive to pedestrians where you can shop quietly. Zeil is also known by being one of the biggest open air shopping, so be prepared for a lot of choices available. After Zeil, go to the Fahrgasse and Hasengasse streets where you can find many other shops.

For a snack, you absolutely have to try the Marzipan, a delicatessen made of chocolate and almonds, a perfection companion for a day full of shopping.
